"Durham Action on Single Housing (DASH) is the proud possessor of it's own website; www.dashorg.co.uk. Anyone wanting to know about us and the services we provide for homeless people can find what they need there, including our referral form for our supported accommodation service, which they can fill in and send online.
I have had ideas for the website for a number of years, as have other DASH workers, but we were not able to do anything with them. Gary, of Gladstone Websites took those ideas, added some of his own - in what was a totally inclusive and consultative process - and transformed them into an accessible, attractive and user-friendly website.
Throughout the process of building the website, I was kept informed of progress and consulted for my opinions on how a page was looking or what information should go in where. Gary is still available for consultation if we need any alterations or updates, which is very useful.
